Hard cheese made from certified organic cow’s raw milk. The organic milk comes mainly from 4 certified organic farmers who have been in the village of Renan for generations. This village is located only 2 km from the traditional fruitière dairy in Saint-Imier, where it is processed into a Grand Cru. This natural and environmentally friendly production process respects the environment and the soil, and is known as biodynamic farming. What is unique about the biodynamic approach is that it relies primarily on the lunar calendar for managing animals and crops. Our sales team was able to meet with these farmers from Renan and talk with them about their philosophy and their vision of agriculture and we are convinced that biodynamic farming represents an approach to farming that not only respects nature and the soil, but also strengthens them. Organic Renan Jurassic has a fine, rich flavour accompanied by spicy and aromatic notes recalling the fresh grass of the pastures. A cheese with plenty of distinct character!
