The name Vacherin Fribourgeois implies that it is of a single origin and has come from a recognized region. Vacherin takes its roots and typicity from its production area and its character from the Pre- Alpine world from which it originates, its weather and geological conditions and the ingenious know-how of its inhabitants. Its taste expresses the tenuous link between the pasturelands grazed by the breeds of cattle local to the canton and the subtleties of a tradition passed on faithfully from generation to generation. Fromagerie Moléson has been making Vacherin Fribourgeois AOP for many years. Vacherin Fribourgeois Fripé offers a balance between the slight sharpness, robustness and creaminess of its body, not forgetting its typical de Vacherin Fribourgeois taste. Only the finest whole cheeses are chosen for maturing, which follows a unique 5-month process.
