The Grès® range is beautifully represented in the Loire Valley region by this cheese made at Fromagerie Jacquin. Like all the cheeses in the Grès® range, this one is oval in shape and includes a characteristic feature that gives a nice nod to the everyday life of cheesemakers. It is topped with a piece of the famous rye straw used to make Sainte-Maure-de-Touraine AOP. This Grès® du Centre-Loire is made in the same facilities as its well-known cousin. It has the same care and attention, and the same milk, which comes from the region. It is ripened for 10 days. This ashy cheese will win you over with its firm texture and intense goat’s milk flavour.
