Le Petit Boyard is an artisan goat’s cheese made with raw milk, shaped like the famous “Fort Boyard” fortification off the coast of Charente Maritime. To make this cheese, the Gâtine cheese dairy had to order some specially made moulds. To look at, the cheese appears to be covered in fine white bloom. It will certainly catch the eye as part of any cheese board. For a real treat, serve with a spoonful of honey or red berry jam, dropped into the cavity on top of the cheese.
