This Gutshöfer Ziegenlochkäse is a Dutch Emmental-style cheese made from goat’s milk. Benefiting from traditional craftsmanship, it is a high-quality cheese. It is produced on the island of Goeree-Overflakkee, in the village of Ouddorp, in Mèkkerstee, a family-run business comprising a farm with 650 goats and a cheese dairy. The goats are given the best possible care and a healthy, organic diet. Unlike other Gutshöfer cheeses, its main characteristic is the presence of larger holes in the paste, thanks to a special recipe. It has a soft, slightly elastic texture. It has a mild, perfectly balanced and slightly sweet taste with the typical aromas of goat’s milk. 8 weeks ripening.
